In-house lab testing and X-ray services for pets of Concord, NC.

Mills Creek Animal Hospital is equipped with an in-house diagnostic laboratory, digital radiography, and EKG for thorough testing and superior treatment for your pet. Our veterinary team also partners with national veterinary laboratories when more specific testing is needed. Whether your pet is seeing us for their annual exam or to have an illness investigated, our diagnostic tools are an essential part of their overall care. Without them, we wouldn’t be able to understand your pet’s condition fully or be able to make informed decisions about their treatment.

Mills-Creek-diagnostic

The need for lab tests to maintain and improve your pet’s health.

With a physical examination, we can only see what’s happening on the surface. With our lab tests, we can assess organ function, determine blood cell count, detect signs of an infection, diagnose parasites, and much more. In short, they can give us a better idea of how healthy your pet is currently and whether they’ll need treatment for an underlying condition. The sooner we can diagnose an issue, the sooner we can treat it.

Our in-house laboratory allows us to perform a variety of important tests, from blood panels to fine-needle aspirates.

Some of these tests include:
  • CBC (complete blood count)
  • Heartworm and tick-borne disease testing
  • Blood chemistry
  • Urinalysis
  • Blood glucose
  • Blood pressure monitoring
  • Fecal exam
  • …and more

Digital Cat and Dog X-Ray

X-ray imaging has come a long way. At Mills Creek Animal Hospital, we use a state-of-the-art digital X-ray machine to diagnose bone fractures and deformities, joint issues, heart and lung problems, and more.

With digital radiography, X-ray images are of much higher quality and clarity, and radiation exposure for your pet is significantly lower. And if you need to take your pet to a specialist, we can email their X-ray images with just a few clicks.
