While our standard operating protocols may have changed to increase our patients’ and clients’ safety, you can continue to expect the same exceptional care and service from Mills Creek Animal Hospital, COVID or no COVID. See our updated COVID-19 policies below to find out more about how we’re keeping you and your pets safe.

Curbside Care

Currently, our hospital is performing curbside appointments only. To schedule a visit, simply contact us as you typically would. When you and your pet arrive, stay in your car and call to let us know you’re ready. One of our team members will take your pet into our facility where we’ll provide the necessary treatments. If you need any food and/or medication refills, let us know and we’ll bring them out to your car. When your pet’s appointment is complete, we will bring them out to you, then call you after to discuss the appointment and collect your payment.

Services

Our services are currently being prioritized based on the resources we have available. If there is something your pet needs, please give us a call so we can discuss it and help you schedule an appointment.

Online Pharmacy

You can always use our online pharmacy if your pet needs a refill on their medication, prescription diet, or supplement. Every product you order online will be shipped right to your front door, so you won’t need to drive out to our hospital.

Dr. Daniel Norris

Dr. Daniel Norris

Medical Director

Meet Dr. Norris
Dr. Daniel Norris grew up in Midland, North Carolina, and graduated from Mount Pleasant High School. He then went to North Carolina State University, where he obtained three Bachelor of Science Degrees in Animal Science, Biology, and History and a Master’s Degree in Animal Science. He continued his education at Auburn University’s College of Veterinary Medicine, where he received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree in 2017. War Eagle. Dr. Norris began his veterinary career working in Mixed Animal Practice performing medicine and surgery on a variety of species.

While pursuing his education at NC State, he met his lovely wife, Tara. They have a daughter named Rosalee and a son named Oliver! In his spare time, he enjoys playing and teaching music, including Fusion Percussion, where he is the Director. He also enjoys traveling with his family. He loves to read and is very interested in Presidential biographies.

Daniel is excited about opportunities at Mills Creek Animal Hospital.

Dr. Ebony Joyce

Associate Veterinarian

Meet Dr. Joyce

Dr. Ebony Joyce is originally from Maryland and earned her Bachelor of Science degree at James Madison University in Virginia. In 2004, she graduated from Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine and subsequently moved to Charlotte, NC where she began her career as a small animal veterinarian. She spent 7 years practicing at a large multi-doctor hospital before she and her family relocated to West Palm Beach, Florida. While in FL she enjoyed living and working at the beach, but ultimately decided that North Carolina was home. Since her return to Charlotte in 2015, she has continued to serve her community and neighbors by caring for their furry family members. She and her husband have 3 children and 2 dogs (Jasper and Trevor). Dr. Joyce enjoys outdoor activities, spending time with family, and traveling.

Practice Manager

Meet Ali

Ali joined Mills Creek Animal Hospital as a Practice Manager in November 2020. In May 2022, she added Austin Village Pet Hospital to make it even more fun! She has a background in human medicine and a passion for true healing. The most rewarding part of her job is making a difference every day. Her blue heeler, Ozzy, keeps her hands and heart full at all times. Ali has found her calling within the field of Veterinary Medicine and looks forward to being part of you and your furry friend’s life journey.

Brooke

CSM, Safety Coordinator

Meet Brooke
Brooke has been with us since the doors opened in 2019. She will most likely be the voice you hear when you call and will remember your name, your pet’s name, and what you were here for the last time you were in. Her passion lies within client/patient relationships and making you and your pet feel right at home. She is an Orlando, Florida native and moved to be closer to her family here in North Carolina. Brooke’s four furry boys, Quincy, Drayco, JP, and Snuggles, keep her hands full at all times. She doesn’t mind because with her full hands came a full heart. Brooke can’t wait to learn about how she can support you and your furry friend(s).

Kim

Lead Veterinary Assistant

Meet Kim
Kim has been part of the Mills Creek family since June 2021. She is our Lead Technician for not only her plethora of knowledge but her ability to make our clients & patients feel comfortable from the moment they walk through the doors. Kim has a passion for geriatric care, client education, and critical care medicine. She is very involved with surgery and is always willing to jump in wherever it is needed. In Kim’s spare time, she enjoys spending time with her beautiful daughter, Alice, and her furry boy, Jax. She is very excited to meet you and your furry friend(s)!

Veterinary Assistant, CSR
Meet Liz
Born in New York and raised in Cabarrus County, Liz joined our team when we opened in September 2019. They previously worked in retail, but Liz decided to pursue a career as a veterinary assistant and CSR (client service representative) in order to fulfill a passion for working with and helping animals. Liz is an extremely hard-working member of our team, Fear-Free Certified, and eager to continue to learn in order to best help our clients and patients. In their spare time, Liz enjoys reading, playing video games, and hanging out with their 4 quirky cats (Barry, Harley, Diana, and Gus).

Veterinary Assistant

Meet Aaron
Aaron joined the Mills Creek family in August 2021. Not only did he bring years worth of valuable skill, but he also brought a personality that fills the entire room. His passion lies in helping clients achieve the goals they have for their pets, whether that be medically, behaviorally, or emotionally. He also finds heavy interest in surgery and being hands-on in the operating room. If you are having a bad day, Aaron can easily make you forget. He owns a dachshund.
